ソテツ類（ソテツるい、英: cycads）は、裸子植物の1群である。太い幹をもつ常緑樹、幹は半地中生のものから地上に長く伸びるものまであり、あまり分岐せず、柔組織が多い多髄質。ふつう幹の頂端から多数の葉が密生しており、葉は羽状複葉。地表にサンゴ状根を形成し、窒素固定を行うシアノバクテリア（藍藻）が共生している。サイカシンなどの毒を含む。雌雄異株であり、茎頂付近に"雄花"または"雌花"を形成する。世界中の熱帯から亜熱帯域に分布する。

^ ^a ^b C. circinalis にナンヨウソテツ、C. rumphii にインドソテツの名を充てていることもある^[28]。ただし、C. rumphii はインドには分布しない^[29]。
