グータ化学攻撃

グータ化学攻撃はシリア内戦の中、2013年8月21日シリアのグータで起こった化学兵器による攻撃事件である。シリア反政府軍の支配下のダマスカス近郊の２ヶ所の地区において、サリンを搭載したロケットが打ち込まれた。死者数は推定によれば最低281人[3]から1,729人にのぼる[14]。この攻撃はイラン・イラク戦争以来の致死性の化学兵器使用の事例である[15][16][17]。本攻撃以前より化学兵器使用の疑いがあったため、すでに現地に来ていたシリア・アラブ共和国の化学兵器使用疑惑の調査のための国連調査団の調査官[18](p6)[19]は攻撃があった日の翌日にシリア政府に対し[20][21][22][22][23][24]、グータに調査団を派遣するため、武装解除を申し立てた。シリア政府はアメリカ政府のこの申し立てを承諾し[25][26][27]、翌日に国連調査団はグータ東部のモアダミヤ地区の調査を行い、8月28、29日にザマルカ、アイン・タルマの調査を行った[18](p6)[28][29]。
