ギフォード卿アダム・ギフォード

ギフォード講義（Gifford Lectures）は、年に一度英国北部・スコットランドで開催される学術講義シリーズである。

政治家・法律家だったギフォード卿アダム・ギフォード（1820年- 1887年）の遺言によって始められ、創設目的は「最広義の意味における自然神学研究、すなわち神についての知を促進・普及すること」。ギフォード講義を担当することは、英米の学界における最高の栄誉の一つである。

講義は、セント・アンドルーズ大学、グラスゴー大学、アバディーン大学、エディンバラ大学の各・大学で行われ、通常は一つの年度を通じた一連の講義として発表、後に講義記録は編集・出版される。
刊行書は、神学・哲学、もしくは宗教と科学（社会科学も含む）の関係に関する古典的著作となっており、著者たちの主著でもある。日本語訳も多く刊行している。
