デイラ ([ˈdaɪrə, ˈdɛərə] DY-rə, DAIR-ə;[1] 古ウェールズ語/カンブリア語: Deywr / Deifr; 古英語: Derenrice / Dere) は、ローマ時代以降のブリテンにおける歴史的地域。のちにアングル人のデイラ王国が成立した[2]。

『怒りについて』（いかりについて、ラテン語：De Ira、英語：On Anger）は、ローマ帝国の哲学者・政治家の小セネカによってラテン語で書かれた、「対話篇」の名で呼ばれる全十二巻の哲学書のうちの1つ。この作品でセネカは、怒りという感情・情念（ペーソス）をストア派の見解に基づく定義・説明をおこないながら、いかにして抑止・制御するか論じた上で、実践的な治療法を提示している。

- ^ なお、ライ―ユらによればセネカは第3巻で抑制論を語っているとしているが、兼利はそれに異議を唱えている。ストア派の思想では怒りの「抑制」はありえず、さらに、予防と抑制の区別は曖昧であることの2点を、彼は根拠として挙げている[27]。
