ユリウス-れき 4 【―暦】
古代ローマの暦法より発達した太陽暦の一つで、紀元前46年ユリウス＝カエサルの命により制定されたもの。多くの暦法中、最も広くまた長く用いられた。一年を三六五日とし、四年ごとに一回閏(うるう)年を設けるもので、1582年これにかわって制定されたグレゴリオ暦に比べ、400年間に三回閏日が多い点だけが異なる。旧太陽暦。

ユリウス暦（ユリウスれき）は、地球が太陽の周りを回る周期を基にして作られた暦で、太陽暦の一種である。ユリウス・カエサルによって制定され、紀元前45年1月1日から実施された。1582年2月24日以降はグレゴリオ暦に交代した。

- ^ 「ゲルマニクス」はカリギュラの本名の最後の部分の名前であり、かつ自分の父（ゲルマニクス）の最初の部分の名前でもある。
- ^ ユリウス・クラウディウス朝の5人の皇帝のうち、自分の人名を月の名前に付けようとしなかったのはティベリウスだけである。

- ^ なお、小の月ではイードゥースは第13日目になる。イードゥースのほかにもノーナエという特別な名で呼ばれた日付があり、これを使っても月の日数を推定できる。
