法的特異点

法的特異点（ほうてきとくいてん、英語: legal singularity）とは、技術的特異点の到来に対応して、法律学において生じる質的変化である[1]。
概要
法的特異点とは、法がはるかに完全に規定される未来の時点を指す仮説であり[2]、法的特異点を超えると、人間の立法者やその他の法的行為者は、急速な技術進歩と人工知能（AI）によって支援され、法的不確実性が大幅に減少する、とされる[3]。
法的特異点は、AIシステムが高度化するにつれ、膨大な法的データや判例を人間よりも迅速かつ正確に処理・分析できるようになるという考えに基づいている[3]。これにより、AIシステムが主要な法的意思決定者となり、人間は監督的役割（あるいは全く役割を持たない）に追いやられる状況が生じる可能性があると予測されている[4][5]。
法学者、倫理学者、AI研究者の間では、法的特異点が実現可能か、あるいは望ましいかについて多くの議論がある[6][7][4][8]。法的効率性の向上や偏見の削減をもたらす可能性があるとみる者がいる[2]一方で、AIシステムが基本的人権を侵害する決定を下したり、既存の不平等を永続させたりする可能性を懸念する者もいる[9]。
