私生活

1961年6月24日にナンシー・ジル・カーター（Nancy Jill Carter）と結婚。子をふたり授かる（John Martin KnuthおよびJennifer Sierra Knuth）。

健康

2006年、前立腺癌を患っている。同年12月に手術を受け、放射線療法を受けているが予後はかなり良好だと動画にて報告している^[28]。
