エリオット【Thomas Stearns Eliot】

読み方：えりおっと

［1888〜1965］英国の詩人・劇作家・批評家。米国生まれ。革新的な技法と宗教性の深い作品により英文壇を代表した。1948年、ノーベル文学賞受賞。詩「荒地」、詩劇「カクテルパーティー」、批評集「神聖の森」など。

T・S・エリオット（トーマス・スターンズ・エリオット　英: Thomas Stearns Eliot、1888年 9月26日 - 1965年 1月4日）は、アメリカ合衆国出身のイギリスの詩人・文芸批評家。
