- ^ 更に言えば、エセックス級とほぼ同等の大きさのクレマンソー級航空母艦は勿論、エセックス級よりも小型のコロッサス級航空母艦やマジェスティック級航空母艦でも運用が可能であった。
このため、オーストラリアやアルゼンチン、ブラジルにおいても空母艦載機として採用された。 - ^ 胴体下面のパイロンは維持
- ^ 「ベインティシンコ・デ・マヨ」の機関の調子が思わしくなく、爆装したA-4Qの発艦に必要な向かい風を得られるだけの速力が出なかったともいわれる。
「ベインティシンコ・デ・マヨ」は、オランダ海軍空母「カレル・ドールマン」時代の1968年4月28日に機関室で火災が発生し機関が損傷。オランダ海軍は修理を断念し、1970年の予定を繰り上げて退役させた。
アルゼンチンへの引き渡し前に、第二次世界大戦の終戦で建造が中止された未成艦「レヴァイアサン」の機関を流用して修理したものの、それ以後も機関の調子が思わしくなかったと言われている。
