社会保障 (アメリカ合衆国)

アメリカ合衆国において社会保障、ソーシャルセキュリティ（Social Security）とは、一般的に連邦政府の運営する老年・遺族・障害者保険（Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance, OASDI）プログラムを指し、これは社会保障局（SSA）が所管している[1]。初の社会保障法は1935年にフランクリン・ルーズベルトにより署名され[2]、現在も改正され有効である[3]。
