メランコリー（英: melancolia, melancholy、独: melancholie、仏: mélancolie、伊: malinconia）、憂鬱（ゆううつ）とは、日常的な用法では、はればれしない落ち込んだ気分、抑うつのこと。英語の「メランコリー」はギリシア語の「μελαγχολία」(melagcholia) に由来する。七つの大罪の前身となった八つの枢要罪の一つ。
