セント・キルダ

セント・キルダ （St Kilda、スコットランド・ゲール語:Hiort）は、イギリス領の孤立した群島。北大西洋、ノース・ウイスト島の64km西北西にある。スコットランド、アウター・ヘブリディーズの最西端の島々である[6]。最大の島はヒルタ島で、イギリスで最も高い、海岸に面した断崖絶壁がある。その他はダン島、ソアイ島、ボーレー島である。これらの島は家畜の放牧や海鳥の猟が行われていた。セント・キルダは行政上はComhairle nan Eilean Siarのローカル・オーソリティー・エリアに属する[7]。
