ナトリウムチャネル(英: sodium channel)はイオンチャネルを形成する膜タンパク質で、ナトリウムイオン(Na+)の細胞膜の透過を担う[1][2]。カチオンチャネルスーパーファミリーに属する。チャネルを開くトリガーの種類によって、電位依存性チャネル(voltage-gated、膜電位の変化によって開く)とリガンド依存性チャネル(ligand-gated、物質の結合によって開く)に分類される。

ナトリウムチャネルは多くの異なる細胞種で類似した機能を持つ。ヒトではナトリウムチャネルをコードする遺伝子が10種類同定されているが、一般的にそれらの機能は異なる生物種や細胞種の間で保存されている。

ナトリウムチャネルは固有心筋及び特殊心筋の興奮の伝導を行うのに適した特性を担っている。心筋の活動電位の立ち上がり速度はNaチャネルの開口率によって規定されている。電位依存性のチャネルであり閾値以下の刺激で開口することはなく、閾値以上の刺激に対して機敏に開口し、すばやく不活性化状態となる。その後、心筋が十分な収縮を行えるよう十分な不応期をとる。ナトリウムチャネルは活性化は-55mVで生じ-40mVでは不活性化状態となる。深い静止膜電位を活性化させる能力はあるものの浅い指趾膜電位では活動電位の発生を起こさないという特徴をもつ。Naチャネルの変異としてはQT延長症候群やブルガダ症候群があげられる。
