セミ科(学名:Cicadidae、英: true cicadas[1])はセミの中でも最大の科で、世界中に3,200種が分布する。最古の明確な化石は暁新世である。白亜紀の琥珀の中から見つかっている若虫もセミ科の可能性があるが、ムカシゼミ科の可能性もある[2]。
