ダケントルルス

ダケントルルス（学名 Dacentrurus "尖りで満たされた尾"）は、元々はオモサウルスとして知られた、ヨーロッパのジュラ紀後期（1億5400万年前-1億5000万年前）に生息した大型の剣竜類である。タイプ種Omosaurus armatusはイングランドで発見された化石に基づき1875年に命名された。オモサウルスの名が既に他のワニ類に使用されていたため、この属は1902年にダケントルルスに改名された。1875年以降、タイプ種の他に6つの種が命名されたが、おそらく正当な種はDacentrurus armatusのみである。化石の発見は限られており、外観の多くは不明である。プレートとスパイクで装甲された、重厚な造りの四足歩行の草食恐竜であった。
