ニクス（Nix）は冥王星の第2衛星。2005年、冥王星の衛星で最も外側の軌道を周る第3衛星ヒドラと共にハッブル宇宙望遠鏡による観測で発見され^[7]、ギリシア神話の夜の女神ニュクス (Nyx) にちなんで命名された^[8]。長径は49.8 kmで^[2]、冥王星からの距離で近い方から3番目の軌道、第5衛星ステュクスと第4衛星ケルベロスの間を公転している^[3]。

^ 冥王星・カロン・ニクスが一直線に並んだ時の瞬間的な力は、直角の場合（ニクスが冥王星とカロンの並びから90度ずれた位置にある時）よりも9.46パーセント大きい。カロン・冥王星・ニクスの順番に並んでいる場合は、両者の値のほぼ中間となる。ブイエ（Buie）らは「冥王星がP1・P2に各々およぼす重力は最大でおよそ15パーセント変動する^[20]」としている。冥王星の重力の影響は「それ自体で」ニクスに対して18パーセント、ヒドラに対して13パーセント変動する。
