食料安全保障

食料安全保障について議論等が行われる場合、日本国内では農林水産省による定義内容に従った経済安全保障の一部として取り扱われ、国際的には国連食糧農業機関・アメリカ農務省による定義内容に従った人間の福利達成の一部として取り扱われることが多い。
なお表記については、食糧安全保障とする場合もある。このとき食料・食糧を同義とする場合と、「食料」を食品一般とし「食糧」を主食穀類と使い分けることもある。記事冒頭の農林水産省の用例のように、政府機関では「食料安全保障」を用いることが多い。
