ハウィソン教授が抱いていた理性的確信によれば、この世界の核は人間精神と同質な存在である。すなわち、有限・無限の別を問わぬ、自由な人格を備えた個人の共同体がそれであり、この共同体は完全者という理念のもとに営まれているのである。そして完全者の偉大な力は、他者を目覚めさせこれらの思想に忠実であらしめるよう用いられる。この高邁な目的と確信をハウィソンと共有することができたという記憶を基礎として、この講義は行われることになる。 — ハウィソン哲学講義設立主旨
