アメリカ独立戦争

アメリカ独立戦争（アメリカどくりつせんそう, 英: American War of Independence）は、 1775年4月19日から1783年9月3日までのイギリス本国（グレートブリテン王国）とアメリカ東部沿岸のイギリス領の13の植民地との戦争である。現在のアメリカではアメリカ独立革命（英: The American Revolution）もしくは革命戦争（英: the Revolutionary War）と呼ばれ、主にイギリスではアメリカ独立戦争と呼ばれている[1]。なお、日本の歴史教科書では、「アメリカ独立戦争」と表記することもあれば[2]、単に「独立戦争」と表記することもある[3]。
