Apple IIGS

Apple IIファミリーで、最もパワフルな、5世代目のApple IIGS（スタイルはIIGS）は、Appleがデザイン、製造していた16ビットのパソコンである。AmigaやAtari STと似通った解像度や表示色数、Macintoshのルック＆フィールを採用しながらも、初期のApple IIモデルとの互換性を保っている。名前の「GS」は「Graphics and Sound」の略で、マルチメディアハードウェアの強化、特に最高水準のオーディオを搭載していることを表している[1]。
