若年失業

若年失業（じゃくねんしつぎょう、Youth unemployment）とは、若年者が仕事を探しているが見つけることができない状況を指し、国際連合では15-24歳の年代と定義している。ここでの失業とは、仕事はないが積極的に仕事を探している人を指している。公式に統計として測定される失業者は、生産年齢人口（多くは10代～60代半ば）で無職であり、働く意欲を持ち、積極的に職を探しているという条件を満たすものである。
