「ジェネレーションズ・オブ・ラヴ」はボーイ・ジョージによって設立されたバンド、ジーザス・ラヴス・ユーの楽曲。バンドが1990年に発売した唯一のアルバム『ザ・マーター・マントラス』から2枚目のシングルとしてリリースされた。ラガマフィンのトースティングとしてMCキンキーをフィーチャーしたこの曲は批評家から肯定的な評価を受け、メロディ・メーカーとニュー・ミュージカル・エクスプレスはどちらも「シングル・オブ・ザ・ウィーク」にこの曲を挙げた^[4]^[5]。全英シングルチャートでは2ヴァージョンがランクインし、1990年に80位にランクインしたLand of the OAZ Mix^[1]、1991年に35位にランクインしたLa La Gone Gaga Mix^[3]がある^[6]。1990年のヴァージョンはビルボードのホット・ダンス・クラブ・プレイ・チャートで11位を記録しており、1991年のヴァージョンはオランダでトップ20、オーストリアやベルギーでトップ30に入るヒットを記録した。

7分超のショート・ムービーはベイリー・ウォルシュが監督。パフォーマンスに特化したヴァージョンのMVはカルチャー・クラブの「アイル・タンブル・4・ヤ!」のMVも手掛けたゼルダ・バロンが手掛けた。

イギリスの雑誌ミックスマグは「ジェネレーションズ・オブ・ラヴ」を1996年に発表した「これまでに発表されてきた最高のダンス・シングル 100選」の中に選んでいる^[7]。

2016年、Phunk Investigationによってボーイ・ジョージのヴォーカルを使用した新たなヴァージョンが発売され、リミックスはクリスチャン・プーとトム・ノヴィが手掛けた
