『キャプテン・アメリカ/ザ・ファースト・アベンジャー』 及び『キャプテン・アメリカ/ウィンター・ソルジャー』、マーベル・ワンショットの同名の短編映画に触発された[1]アメリカ合衆国のテレビシリーズ『エージェント・カーター』の第1シーズンは、1940年代のアメリカで独身女性生活を送りつつ、ハワード・スタークの極秘任務を遂行するマーベル・コミックのキャラクターのペギー・カーターがフィーチャーされている。シリーズは多数の映画フランチャイズとのコンティニュイティを共有するマーベル・シネマティック・ユニバース（MCU）に属している。シーズンはABCにより2015年1月6日から2月24日にかけて全8話が放送され、ABCスタジオ、マーベル・テレビジョン、F&B・ファゼカス&バターズが製作し、タラ・バターズ、ミシェル・ファゼカス、クリス・ディンゲスがショーランナーを務めた。
