a ^{^}^{^} この絵にはポーランドと分割に参加した三国の君主が描かれている。左端はエカチェリーナ2世、右端はフリードリヒ2世で、それぞれ自分の分け前を要求している。中央右側のヨーゼフ2世は、自分の行動に少し恥じ入っているように見える（実際には、彼は母帝マリア・テレジアの強い反対を押し切ってまで分割に積極的に加担した）。そして中央左には、自らの王冠を必死に守るスタニスワフ2世アウグストが描かれている。彼らの頭上にいる平和の天使は、18世紀の文明化された君主たちが戦争抜きで妥協を成立させられたことを祝福している。この絵は当時非常に評判が悪く、一部の国では頒布を禁じられた。
