Google I/Oとは、Googleが主催する開発者向けのイベントのことである。2008年から毎年5月に、サンフランシスコで開催されている。
Google I/Oでは、Webやモバイルをはじめ様々なトピックについて技術的な議論が交わされる。Googleが新サービスや新技術について発表することも多い。例えば、2008年の第1回Google I/Oでは、AndroidやOpenSocialなどが発表されている。2009年にはGoogle Wave、2010年にはChrome Web Store、Google TV、2011年にはGoogle Musicが発表されている。
また、2011年にはChrome OSを搭載したノート型PC「Chromebook」の発売を間近にして、参加者全員にChromebookの端末が無償配布されている。

Google I/O（略称：I/O）はアメリカ合衆国カリフォルニア州でGoogleが開催する年次開発者向け会議。I/OではGoogleとAndroid、ChromeおよびChromeOS、APIs、Google Web Toolkit、App Engineなどのオープンソースを用いてweb、モバイル、企業アプリケーションを構築することに重点を置いた技術的なセッションを紹介している。
