Séminaire de Géométrie Algébrique du Bois Marie (SGA、マリーの森の代数幾何学セミナー) は数学において、 Alexander Grothendieck による影響力の大きいセミナーであった。それは、主要な数学ジャーナルを除いては、1960年から1969年までパリの近くの IHÉS で開かれた研究と出版の唯一の現象であった（名前は1962年から IHÉS が位置している Bures-sur-Yvette の estate の小さな森から来ている）。セミナーノートはやがて12巻になって出版され、1つを除いてすべてが Springer Lecture Notes in Mathematics series に出版されている。

様式

SGAはいくつかの理由で読み難いとの評判がある。より初等的あるいは基本的な部分はグロタンディークとデュドネのEGAに任されており、主張に長大な論理的依存性を引き起こしている。様式は非常に抽象的で、圏論を大いに用いている。さらに、最大限に一般的な主張を達成するための試行がなされているが、読者は動機や具体例を知っていることが仮定されている。

最初の出版

SGAの最初のノートは IHÉS によって分冊で出版され、そのほとんどが2、3回改訂された。これらはセミナーが進むにつれて出版され、それは60年代初期に始まり、10年のほとんど続いた。それらはまだ大きい数学図書館で見つけられるが、流通は限られていた。60年代後期と70年代初期に、元のセミナーノートは後の発展を考慮に入れるために徹底的に改訂され書き直された。さらに、新しい巻SGA4½ がPierre Deligneによって編纂され、1977年に出版された。 それには、SGA4 の範囲内で Deligne による簡略化された新しい結果と、当時まだ登場していない SGA5 の資料が含まれています。 改訂されたノートは、SGA2 を除いてSpringerによってそのLecture Notes in Mathematicsシリーズに出版された。

SGA の再出版

1990年代、SGAが入手しがたいことが代数幾何学の研究者や院生にとってますます問題となってきていることが明らかになった。増える研究者の数に比べて本の形でのコピーが少なすぎるだけでなく、タイプセットのされ方（電子タイプライターに手書きの数式）のために読みづらくもあった。いくらかの国の数学者達の運動の結果、SGAをLaTeXで書き直し、些細な間違いやわかりにくさの解消のために注を付け、広く利用可能な電子ファイルフォーマットで再販する計画が始動した。フランス数学会から出版される予定である。著作を再版する法的許可は Alexander Grothendieck 自身を除くすべての著者から得られたが、隠遁中だった彼とは連絡がつかなかった。Springer-Verlag による SGA の再版を彼が拒んだのは Springer に対する反対であって主義の1つではなかったという理由で、彼の明示的な承諾なしに進めることが決定された。

最初の段階として、Frank Calegari, Jim Borger, William Stein によって、全著作がスキャンされオンラインで入手可能となった（下のリンク節参照）。それからテキストを新しくタイプセットし、それを校正する仕事は数十人のボランティアに分配され（フランス語の流暢さと代数幾何学の知識が要求されるため、彼らの多くは若いフランスの数学者であった）、SGA1 から2001年後半に始まった。

SGA1 の仕事の coordinating editor はライデン大学（当時レンヌ大学）の Bas Edixhoven であった。最初のバージョンは arXiv で2002年7月20日に挙がり、校正されたバージョンは2004年1月4日にアップロードされ、後にフランス数学会によって本の形で出版された。SGA2 の仕事は2004年に Yves Laszlo を coordinating editor として開始された。LaTeX のソースファイルは arXiv で入手可能である。SGA2 は2005年後半にフランス数学会によって印刷された（http://smf.emath.fr/Publications/DocumentsMathematiques/ を参照）。

Laszlo は SGA4 も編集し、最近 Philippe Gille と Patrick Polo が SGA3 の TeX 化されたバージョンをアップロードした。しかしながら、2010年1月、Grothendieck は SGA の再発行をやめるよう要請した。Grothendieck が死去した2014年後半、SGA の再発行の仕事は再開され、Grothendieck circle site に復活した。
