《原題、(スペイン)La muerte y la doncella》ドルフマンの戯曲。1991年初演。独裁政権下で過酷な拷問を受けた女性が、十数年後の民主政権下で自分を拷問した相手を偶然見つけ、復讐を試みる。1994年、ロマン＝ポランスキー監督により映画化。
《原題、(ドイツ)Der Tod und das Mädchen》シューベルトの作品。
１ 歌曲。1817年作曲。M＝クラウディウスの詩に基づく。病に伏せる乙女と死神との対話を描いたもの。
２ 弦楽四重奏曲第14番の通称。1824年の作。全4楽章。第2楽章の主題に1のコラールを用いている。すべての楽章が短調で書かれた作品として有名。
