カラチ（ウルドゥー語: کراچی カラーチー、シンド語: ڪراچي、英語: Karachi）は、パキスタン南部、アラビア海沿岸にあるパキスタン最大の都市。インダス川河口の西に位置する。シンド州の州都であり、世界有数のメガシティである。
- ^ 1998年の人口統計ではカラチの人口は約900万人である。しかし、公式・非公式で人口に大きな乖離が生じている。第一にカラチに居住しているが戸籍をカラチに移していない人口が存在すること（したがって、カラチの人口は推計で1,500万人になる）。第二に1998年の人口統計ではアフガニスタン難民を統計に加えていないことが理由であるCity Government estimates "more than 15 million inhabitants". Reasons for the discrepancy include workers living in Karachi but registered as living elsewhere in Pakistan by the National Database and Registration Authority; and Afghan refugees were not counted in the 1998 census.
