新たな利用方法として

昨今、エラグ酸は、血糖値・血中中性脂肪の増加を抑え、脂肪細胞の分化・肥大化の抑制、動脈硬化、中性脂肪の合成抑制など、肥満気味の方やダイエットを目指す方には嬉しい研究成果が多く報告されている。

安全性

In vitroでのトポイソメラーゼ阻害作用（英語版）が認められている。IC50は0.6-0.7μg/mL^[17]
