ニューヨーク市の地理

イースト川が大西洋へ注ぐ自然港に位置するニューヨーク市の地理は特に沿岸部が特徴的である。また、海と川に囲まれていることから利用できる土地が乏しくアメリカ国内で最も人口密度の多い都市の1つとなっている。しかしながら、ニューヨーク市は都市の管理が行き届いていることからアメリカ国内で最もエネルギー効率の良い都市となっており、かつ最も公共交通機関の利用率が高く自動車依存率の低い都市となっている。都市の気候は温暖である。
