AZD-1940は、アストラゼネカが開発した薬物で、CB1およびCB2受容体の両方に高い親和性で結合する末梢選択的カンナビノイドアゴニストである。神経障害性疼痛の治療薬として開発され、動物実験では良好な末梢選択性を示したが[1]、ヒトでの治験では十分な鎮痛効果を示さず、中枢性カンナビノイド活性に関連した予想外に強い副作用を示したため、それ以上の開発は中止された[2][3]。
