英語 Reynolds number
イギリスの工学者レイノルズ(1842～1912年)の名にちなむ無次元量。流れにおける慣性力の大きさと粘性の大きさの比から導かれる量で、流れのなかの物体の代表的な長さと流速および密度の積と、粘性率との比の値。例えば物体が静止流体中を進行する場合はその物体の長さをL、進行速度をU、あるいは円管の中の流れでは管の直径をL、平均速度をUとし、流体の密度をρ、粘性率をμとしたとき、レイノルズ数Rは、R＝ρUL/μ離で表される。この値が等しいとき流れは力学的に相似になり、模型試験の結果から実物に働く力を推定することなどが可能となる。また粘性流体に関する主要な数値(抵抗係数など)はRの関数になる。

レイノルズ数（レイノルズすう、英: Reynolds number、Re）は流体力学において慣性力と粘性力との比で定義される無次元量である。流れの中でのこれら2つの力の相対的な重要性を定量している。
