『独裁者』（どくさいしゃ）または『チャップリンの独裁者』（The Great Dictator）は、1940年に公開したアメリカ映画で、チャールズ・チャップリンが監督・製作・脚本・主演を務めた[3]。
注釈
- ^ 全編に渡って肉声のセリフがある作品。いわゆるトーキー作品としては、最初の音楽録音付きの作品は『街の灯』（1931年）、最初のチャップリン肉声付き（但し即興歌のみ）の作品は『モダン・タイムス』（1936年）。
- ^ 劇中での呼称は“Phooey”、軽蔑的ニュアンスを持つ擬音語であり、意味は「ナンセンス」。
- ^ Osterlich。英語でダチョウを意味するOstrichと、ドイツ語でオーストリアを意味するÖsterreichを掛けている。
