略歴・人物

東京都東久留米市の出身。開成中学校・高等学校、東京大学教養学部教養学科卒業後、ハーバード大学政治学部博士課程修了。政治学博士号を取得（Ph.D in Political Science)。プリンストン大学政治学部助教授、准教授、教授を経て現職。妻のクリスティーナ・デイビスもハーバード大学政治学部教授。
