ローレンス公共図書館は1872年に設立された^[57]^[58]。2008会計年度で、ローレンス市の予算の0.55%、1,155,597ドルを図書館に充てており、住民一人当たり16ドルほどである^[59]。

メディアとコミュニケーション

ローレンス市の主要新聞は「イーグル・トリビューン」であり^[60]、1890年にローレンスで設立されたが、後にノースアンドーバーに施設を移した、メリマック・バレーでは主要な新聞の1つである。他に英語スペイン語の2言語紙である「ランボ」^[61]やスペイン語の「シグロ21」^[62]もある。ローレンスのニューズを密接にカバーしているその他の新聞は、「バレー・パトリオット」という月刊紙もある^[63]。

市内にはFMラジオ局1局とAMラジオ局4局がある。テレビはローレンス・コミュニティ・アクセス・テレビがある^[64]。ボストン・テレビ市場に入っていると見なされている。

経済

ニューバランスがローレンスに靴製造工場を置いており、国内で操業中の5工場の1つである^[65]。

抗生物質、獣医用医薬品、マイコトキシン、殺虫剤、アルカリ性ホスファターゼ、病原体、最終製品微生物評価、アレルゲンコントロール、ATP予防策のためのテストキットとシステムを製造するチャーム・サイエンシーズがローレンスに研究室を置いている。
