MDPHPまたは、3',4'-メチレンジオキシ-α-ピロリジノヘキソフェノンは、もともとは1960年代に開発されたカチノン系精神刺激薬であり[1]、新規デザイナードラッグとして報告されている。イギリスでの俗称をmonkey dustである[2][3] 。強力な精神刺激薬MDPVと密接に関連しているが、その作用はやや穏やかであり、MDPVが禁止された後、一部の国では代替品として使用されている[4][5][6][7]。
薬理学
MDPHPは強力なノルアドレナリン・ドーパミン再取り込み阻害薬として作用する。MDPHPのIC50は、NETで0.06 μM、DATで0.05 μM、SERTで9 μMである[8]。
法的地位
MDPHPは、日本[9]およびハンガリー[10]において規制物質として特に指定されており、その他の多くの管轄においても類縁体規定に基づき規制対象となっている。
記録された死亡事例
2022年2月、イタリアの病院の医師らにより、48歳男性における「MDPHPによる致死性急性中毒」の症例が報告された[11]。別の事例として、30歳男性コカイン使用者が、2023年7月20日にイタリア・フィレンツェで死亡しているのが発見された[12]。
