G3 (ツアーコンサート)

G3（ジースリー）は、ギタリストのジョー・サトリアーニが主催し、ジョーと2人のギタリストを交えて3人で行うツアーコンサートのことである。1996年から続いているこの企画には今までに、スティーヴ・ヴァイ、エリック・ジョンソン、ケニー・ウェイン・シェパード、イングヴェイ・マルムスティーン、ジョン・ペトルーシ、ロバート・フリップ、ポール・ギルバート、スティーヴ・モーズ、スティーヴ・ルカサー、ウリ・ジョン・ロート、マイケル・シェンカー、エイドリアン・レッグが参加している。
それぞれの演奏が終わった後、3人がステージに集まり（時にはスペシャルゲストも加わり）G3ジャムを行う。
多くのスペシャル・ゲストとして、トニー・マカパイン、ジョニー・ハイランド、キース・ムーア、クリス ・デュアーテ、アンディ・ティモンズ、ニール・ショーン、ゲイリー・ホーイ、ブライアン・メイ、ビリー・ギボンズ、ジョニーA、ジョージ・リンチ、パトリック・ロンダット、ハーマン・リ、ガスリー・ゴーヴァン、アレハンドロ・シルバ、エリック・サーディナスも参加したことがある。
1996年
最初のG3ツアーは1996年に北アメリカで敢行された。特別ゲストとして、サンフランシスコ公演にはニール・ショーン、サンディエゴ公演にはゲイリー・ホーイ、オースティンとサンアントニオ公演にはクリス・デュアーテ、フェニックス公演にはジョージ・リンチ、ダラス公演にはアンディ・ティモンズ、ツアー最終日のシアトル公演にはアルとジェニー・ヘンドリクス(ジミ・ヘンドリックスの父と継姉妹)がバックステージにやって来ている。
