クロスリバー‐ゴリラ【Cross River gorilla】

読み方：くろすりばーごりら

ニシゴリラの一亜種。ナイジェリア南部とカメルーンの国境地域に位置するクロス川源流域に200〜300頭が生息。ゴリラの分布域の北西限にあたる。

クロスリバーゴリラ (学名：Gorilla gorilla diehli) は、ニシゴリラの亜種の一つ。1904年にフンボルト大学ベルリンの哺乳類学者であるPaul Matschieによって記載されたが、個体数の体系的調査は1987年まで実施されていなかった[3][4]。
