ウルム戦役

ウルム戦役（ウルムせんえき、英語: Ulm Campaign）は、第三次対仏大同盟中の1805年にフランス帝国とバイエルン軍が軍事的な機動によってオーストリア軍を捕らえた戦役である。この戦役はシュヴァーベンの都市ウルム近郊で生じた。フランス皇帝ナポレオン・ボナパルト率いる大陸軍は210,000人から成る7個軍を保有しており、ロシア軍の増援が来る前にドナウ川のオーストリア軍を撃滅することを狙っていた。10月20日、ナポレオンは迅速な行軍によりマック将軍率いる23,000人のオーストリア軍をウルムで降伏させることに成功し、この戦役を通して60,000人のオーストリア軍を捕虜とした。一般的にこの戦役は戦略上最も偉大な勝利であると考えられており、19世紀末のシュリーフェン・プランに大きな影響を与えた^[4]。

注釈

^ Chandlerはトロヒテルフィンゲン（英語版）としたが、ウルムから55 km西にあるため不可能である。一方、トロイヒトリンゲンはネーレスハイムから48 km北東、ウルムから91 km北東にあり、予想されている方向とも合っている。Chandlerはノイシュタットの名前も出しており、ウルムの148 km東にあるノイシュタット・アン・デア・ドナウかただの誤記であると思われる。
