Tenri Primary School is a private primary school located in Majimbo, Embu Municipality off Embu -Kiritiri Road next to the National cereals and Produce Board Depot in Kenya.

History

The School is a Kenya Tenri Mission sponsored school which started back in 1999 as a Day care center for staff. Since then, the school has grown from this humble beginning to become the top school and the pride of Embu County.

Programs

• The year 2015 KCPE results, the school registered the highest mean score since the school started of 392.74. This was the highest mean score in Embu County.
• The school offers Japanese language to all the pupils in the school. Exchange programmes are also offered through foreign pupils and students from Japan and America. The presence of well-trained and skilled Japanese teachers makes it easier for the children to learn the foreign language (Japanese).
• Computer studies are also offered to all classes.
• Boarding facilities for all the boarders as well as 24 -hours clinic services in the school compound from our sister department Embu Children Hospital.
