Alu要素(Aluようそ、: Alu element)とは、ヒトをはじめとする霊長類ゲノムに見られる遺伝因子の一つである。Alu配列とも[1]Arthrobacter luteus (Alu) の制限エンドヌクレアーゼ活性により最初に特徴づけられた[2]
