妊娠（にんしん、英語: Pregnancy）は、哺乳類における状態の一つであり、受精卵が子宮内膜の表面に着床して母体と機能的に結合し、胎盤から臍帯を介して栄養や酸素の供給を受けて成長し、やがては出産もしくは流産に至るまでの生理的経過を指す[13]。男女間での性行為、または不妊治療の生殖医療の利用などによって起こる。
