標本空間

標本空間（ひょうほんくうかん、英: sample space^{[注釈 1]}）は、確率論にて、試行結果全体の集合のことである^[4]。確率空間を定義する上で最初に必要な定義である。

^ 次のようにも呼ばれる：sample description space^[1] or event space^[2] or possibility space^[3]
^ つまり、与えられた大きさの単純無作為標本全体のなす空間は、根元事象からなる。
