ハワイ・マウイ島山火事

ハワイ・マウイ島山火事（ハワイ・マウイとうやまかじ）は、2023年8月8日から11日までハワイのマウイ島で発生した大規模な山火事のことである[3]。この山火事により97人の死亡が確認されているほか、31人が行方不明となり[4]、2,200棟以上の建物（このうち86％が住宅）が損壊した[5][6][7]。アメリカで起きた山火事としては、過去100年で最悪の被害である[8][9]。観光地であるラハイナは大部分が焼け野原と化し[10]、壊滅状態となった[11]。大統領のジョー・バイデンは、ハワイ州に対し大規模災害を宣言した[12]。
