デイヴ・アーネソン

デイヴィッド・ランス・アーネソン（David Lance Arneson、1947年10月1日[1] - 2009年4月7日）は、アメリカ合衆国のゲームデザイナーである。1970年代初頭にゲイリー・ガイギャックスと協力して最初に出版されたロールプレイングゲーム『ダンジョンズ&ドラゴンズ』が良く知られている[2]。アーネソンの初期の仕事として、ジャンルの基礎を開発し、「ダンジョンの冒険」となるような装置を使用してRPGの概念を開発し、中立な審判を用い、そして空想的なキャラクターとの会話を持つストーリーラインを開発したことが挙げられる[3]。
