南部戦線 (アメリカ独立戦争)

南部戦線（なんぶせんせん、英: Southern theater of the American Revolutionary War）は、アメリカ独立戦争中に、フランスがアメリカ合衆国側で参戦してから作戦行動の中心となったアメリカ南部での一連の戦闘をいう。独立戦争の初めの3年間、戦いの舞台は主にボストン、ニューヨークおよびフィラデルフィアの都市周辺を焦点とする北部だった。サラトガ方面作戦の失敗後、イギリス軍は植民地中央部での作戦活動を諦め、南部植民地で有利な講和条件を作る戦略に切り替えた[1]。
