ビッグサー（英: Big Sur）は、アメリカ合衆国カリフォルニア州のセントラルコーストにある人口の希薄な地域である。サンタルシア山脈が太平洋岸から急に立ち上がっている所にある。「ビッグサー」という名前は元々「大きな南」を意味するスペイン語"el sur grande"から、あるいは「南の大きな国」を意味するスペイン語"el país grande del sur"から来ている。その地形は絶景の連続であり、人気のある観光地になっている。コーン山は標高5,155フィート (1571 m) あり、大陸アメリカ合衆国48州の海岸線にある山としては最高峰であり、太平洋から僅か3マイル (4.8 km) しか離れていない[1]。
