テキストボード（英: Textboard）は、単純なインターネットフォーラムの一種であり、多くのテキストボードは登録やスクリーンネームの入力を必要としない[1]。テキストボードは画像掲示板と同様に日本で発明されたが、画像掲示板（4chanや8chanなど）とは対照的に、日本国外では比較的知られていない。
特徴
テキストボードと従来のフォーラムの主な違いの1つは、テキストボードではユーザーが登録なしで投稿でき、多くの場合匿名での議論が推奨されている点である[2][3]。2ちゃんねるの創設者である西村博之は、匿名投稿の思想について「すべての情報は平等に扱われ、正確な主張だけが通用する」と述べている[4]。多くのテキストボードは、ユーザーがトリップコードを使用できることで疑似的な登録機能を提供しているが、実際には匿名で投稿する利用者が多い。
テキストボードは従来のフォーラムよりもはるかにシンプルである傾向がある。phpBBやvBulletinなどのフォーラムソフトウェアが画像やその他のメディアの埋め込み、プライベートメッセージ、投票機能など多様な機能をサポートしているのに対し、テキストボードでは基本的にテキストの投稿のみが可能である。
