Catnap is the main character in Chapter 3: Deep Sleep in the game Poppy Playtime.
Game Settings
Catnap is a character plush toy from the Smiling Critters series, produced by the game company Playtime. When it was released, red smoke would come out of the plush toy, putting children to sleep, but it was taken off the market because it gave children nightmares, and he was removed from the Smiling Critters. By the way, Catnap has a moon mark around his neck, while another member, Doc Day, has a sun mark around his neck, so there is a contrast between the sun and the moon, and the cat and the dog. Playtime also has a facility called Playcare, where they conducted human experiments to create a giant Catnap to be sent there, putting a life into the body of a man named Theoad.
Game Actions
The first scene where Catnap appears in the game is in a Smiling Critters advertisement. In Chapter 2, the train crashes, so you take a detour to Playcare. There is Catnap gas in the central facility, so you avoid it while you're going forward. Along the way, you meet Huggy and Waggy who have gone crazy, but it's a hallucination. You run away from Catnap and he goes into an awakened state. In an awakened state, the thing he's wearing around his neck also changes color. Finally, when he was human, there was an electric shock accident, so you give him electricity and defeat him. He still survives, but he's a loyal subordinate to the prototype. In the end, he's killed by the prototype and leaves. After that, Kissy and Missy are attacked, but it's unclear if they are Catnap.
