Emscriptenは、CおよびC++ソースコードを、主にウェブブラウザ上で実行することを目的として、WebAssembly[3]（または、2017年にWebAssemblyが登場するまで当初のターゲットであった、asm.jsとして知られるJavaScriptのサブセット[4]）にコンパイルする、LLVM/Clangベースのコンパイラ。
